This week has been a week, if you know what I mean. The weekend was kind of slow because I didn’t really make plans with anyone. I had a major assignment due last Friday night at midnight (a bit cruel if you ask me, since all of the procrastinators out there *aka me* were working up until the deadline on Friday). I had another big paper due last night at midnight. I was busy during the beginning of the week and didn’t have a lot of time to work on my assignments (partly because I got distracted quite frequently, if I’m being honest haha). This morning I woke up to go to my class at 9am, missed my bus, walked about an hour to school, was sweating by the time I got here (yes sweating is a frequent occurrence in this country, surprise surprise), and then went to my class only to find it empty and find out that the ministry school is already on break. Looking on the positive side, at least I don’t have to sit through class today! 🙂
I also got bitten by a green ant the other night. As far as I know, we don’t have these lovely little creatures in the States (or if we do, I haven’t had the misfortune of encountering them), but they look like regular ants and leave a nasty bite that stings for a good hour afterward. I have been bitten a few times before since being here, but one got trapped in my shoe the other night and bit me multiple times. Now my ankle has swollen up nicely so I think it’s safe to say that I have having some sort of a reaction. Heidi, bless her, took me to the pharmacy this morning to get something to treat it, and I’m happy to say that I think I won’t lose my foot (yes, I’m being dramatic again. I do that).
Anyway, since I don’t have class I have a lot of free time on my hands this morning & I thought I’d just write this quick little post. Proof that no matter how much I love it here, there will still be crazy days where things go wrong & I have nothing left to do but laugh it off. Glad God blessed me with a sense of humor. Cheers friends!
